خلاصه مقاله:
Dye removal from different industrial wastewaters is of major environmental concernbecause dyes create severe environmental problems [1-3]. Brilliant green is classified in thedyestuff industry as a triarylmethane dye and also using in pigment industry. Brilliant greenalso is used as a direct dye for silk, wool, jute, and leather and to dye cotton that has beenmordanted with tannin. Adsorption has gained favor in recent years due to proven efficiencyin the removal of pollutants from effluents to stable forms for the above conventionalmethod. Removal of brilliant green by different sorbents was studied [4]. Spinels are veryimportant magnetic materials because of their interesting magnetic and electrical propertieswith chemical and thermal stabilities1. They are important class of metal oxides and have thegeneral chemical composition of AB2O4 In this paper, the ferrite spinel of CuFe2O4 wasprepared by chemical co precipitation method. Adsorption of brilliant green dye by nanospinel was investigated. The kinetics of adsorption was also evaluated.
