Abstract:

In this paper, a new Low-Cost Radio Frequency system (LCRF) for auxiliary heating of confined plasma in Tokamak machine is proposed and simulated. This systemconsist of a switch mode power amplifier (PA) with output power about 10kW, consists of a tetrode with the grounded cathode anda FET switching circuit. The proposed switch circuit provides the desired voltage level to drive the high power amplifier. This design because of reduction the components and the numbers ofthe movable tuning elements is more flexible and more reliable than the common ones. With above discussion, the proposedcircuit can be applied as sufficient radio frequency heating system for auxiliary heating in small Tokamaks.
