Abstract:
Low cost and high efficiency realization of biological neural networks is a very important issue for the large scale simulations. In this field, neuronal synchronization plays an important role in biological information processing and diseases such as Parkinson and epilepsies. In recent years, understanding of the brain and its behavior has been an active research field targeting for a variety of applications such as: founding new solutions to cure brain diseases, bio-mimic robots and study of neural networks behavior. In this scheme, one of the main concepts is the neuron model as a building block of neural networks. Accordingly, a large variety of the neuron models have been developed. This paper proposes a digital structure for two coupled Izhikevich neuron model on Arduino platform. Simulation resultsverify that the proposed circuit can reproduce spiking patterns, successfully
