Abstract:
The inhibition performance of three Schiff bases of the mild steel in 0.5 M sulfuric acid solution wasinvestigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), potentiodynamic polarization, weight loss and FTIRspectroscopy methods. The results revealed that these compounds exhibit good corrosion inhibition. The effect oftemperature (25-55οC) on corrosion parameters was examined. Polarization curves showed that all of the compounds aremixed type inhibitors. The adsorption of inhibitors on the surface obeys Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The values ofactivation energy and the thermodynamic parameters, such as ΔGads, ΔHads and ΔSads were calculated
