خلاصه مقاله:
Global warming is today environmental issue faced the world. CO2 is the dominant greenhouse gas contributes of 76% of greenhouse effect. Carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) is the hottest strategy for mitigation of CO2 from emission sources proposed by international energy agencies. Different CO2 capturing technologies were proposed to literature such as: absorption (chemical/physical), membrane, cryogenic and adsorption. In this work, the potential of new and novel membrane technology was investigated. The effects of two operational parameters of cut of ratio and feed CO2 concentration (Vol.%) on membrane area (capital investment) and CO2 permeate concentration (Purity efficiency) were analysed. For more permeate CO2 concentration, the lower cut of ratio and higher feed concentration can be addressed. Also, the higher permeability results in less required membrane area. Membrane technology can be considered as cost efficient and environmentally friendly process.
