Abstract:

In order to callect marine characteristics parameters, Iran's Ports and Shipping Organization (PSO) installed set of measuring instruments to get meteorological and oceanographical parameters in the three important ports of iran (Anzali, Amirabad and Bushehr) and intend to develop these instruments to the other ports of Iran in future. Each set includes three parts: 1-Offshore station or Buoy: It measures oceanographical and meterological parameters in deep water . 2-Coastal station: It operates likely buoy but this station is a fixed platform in the shallow water.3-Mother station : That places in the land and receives data which is sent via bioy. In this part, received data is processed and presented. In this paper PSO buoys are introduced and then gathered information by Anzali port buoy is evaluated. This buoy is disk surface type and made by Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) it can measure different oceanographical and meterological parameters (such as different wave parameters, water salinity, water temperature, relative air humidity, wind speed and its sirection. air pressure and air temperature) and sends those information to the mother station via radio-transmitter in certain times. Measured data is processed in two stage:1-Initial processing :It is performed by computer which is placed on the buoy, and include calculation of parameters, need to derive directional wave density spectrum and wave statistical parameters. In this stage calculation the data from sea surface fluctuation and its gradient in north and east direstion are used. 2-Final processing in the mother station, including deriving directional wave energy spectrum and other parameters derived from that. Considering that, there is not any standard and valid reference to compare buoy results, therefore, In this research, we compare different oceanographical and meterological parameters together. (independent in measurement but dependent in physical behavior) This comparison is performed at first decay in September 2001 in Anzali port. Mentioned comparisons are between: - measured significant wave height and height calcilated from SMB method - wind speed at buoy station and mother station - wind speed at buoy station and significant wave height - Air pressure, air temperature and wind speed - wind direction at buoy position and mother station.
