Abstract:
In this research kinetics of the addition reaction of Triphenylphosphine to 5-Hydroxy-1, 4-naphthalenedione in 1, 2-dichloroethane as solvent was investigated. The order of reaction with respect to the reactants was characterized using initial rate method. Kinetic parameters of reaction have been monitored by Uv-Vis Spectrphotometry method. Based on the results Arrhenius equation was obtained as follows:The results identified that the activation parameter Ea, ΔH#, ΔG#, and ΔS# at 298 K were 19.585, 18.995, 18.817 kcal mol−1 and 0.595 cal mol−1 K−1, respectively.
