Abstract:
The compressive deformation behaviors of a new 0.43C–1.50 Mn -3.87 Al-0.03Nb (wt%) based microalloyed TRIP steel were investigated at the temperatures from 850 OC to 1150 OC and strain rates from 0.01 s-1 to 1s-1 on a Gleeble-1500 thermo-simulation machine. The high Al and Si concentration in these steels guarantied the presence of the considerable δ-ferrite phase in the microstructure after the casting and the subsequent hot rolling. The flow stress constitutive equation of hot deformation for this steel was developed with the activation energy Q being about 263 kJ/mol.
