PWM voltage source inverters are used in a wide variety of industrial applications, such as variable-speed motor drives. Three phase induction motors are rugged, cheap to produced and easy to maintain. The induction motor is the most widely used electrical motor and has many inherent advantages for industrial applications. An analysis of the dynamic perfor ma n ce of a voltage source inverter induction motor drive system is pres en t e d. The proposed system includes a switching inverter, output filter and induction motor. The response of the system is studied for effect of output filter and motor parameters changes.
