خلاصه مقاله:
Polymer matrix composites are the common category of composites which are including context of a polymer (resin) and a distributed reinforcement phase. Polymer materials such as epoxy and polyesters have not sufficient mechanical properties. Other properties of these materials including higher impact resistance, better hardness and strength to weight ratio and enough resistance in different environments. Nowadays, woven fabrics possess high modulus fibers are used as the reinforcement phase in these composites and can be considered as two dimensional structures. Some applications of these composites are using in building construction, isolation of boats and pools. In present study, a type of textural glass fiber fabrics were provided for three different density values. Composites were produced from non-saturation polyester resin by manual padding method. The influence of texture density on tensile properties of the composites was investigated. Comparing different test results of these composites and fabrics indicates that the composites have higher tensile strength toward glass fiber fabric.
