Abstract:

Introduction :Tissue engineering is combination of cells, scaffold and biological environment in order to improve or replace damaged tissues or organs.This study was carried out to evaluate primary attachmentandproliferationof human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells on biocompatible polyaniline /polyacrylonitrile (PANi/PAN)copolymerscaffold under in-vitro condition. Materials and Methods :After fabricating scaffold throughelectrospinning method were modified by non-thermal oxygen plasma, it was characterized by using scanning electron microscope (SEM),after thathuman mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs)were cultured on the scaffold for 24h,and then wereanalysed by SEM and MTT test. Result :Analysis of SEM images were referred to suitable structure and morphologyof PANi/PAN nano-fibers in tissue engineeringapplications andhMSCs attachment were showedon the scaffold as well. Results of MTT assay were exhibitedProliferation of hMSCs on the scaffold were more than tissue culture plate (TCP) group. Conclusion :According to the data obtained from tests, PANi/PAN scaffold can support attachment and proliferation of hMSCs
