Effect of micro and nanoparticles of titanium dioxide in the melt flow index and colorimetric properties of talc/polypropylene composites

Polypropylene (PP) is the most important polyolefin, with a wide range of grades available for various applications. In This project, Effect of micro and nanoparticles of titanium dioxide were investigated in the melt flow index and colorimetric properties of talc/polypropylene composites. Melt flow index test results showed that 20% of talc powder in the sample is reduced melt flow index. Titan particles either as micro or nano did not affect melt flow index in percentage range used. The colorimetric test results were observed with the increase of nanoparticles ΔE to the reference sample (PP / talc) has shown a large increase. In the case of samples containing microparticles ΔE has increased, but this increase is much less than the nanoparticles
