خلاصه مقاله:
This work investigates four alternative configurations of adhesively bonded joints under static and high strain rate loading. The configurations include: silicone adhesive as the flexible adhesive, epoxy adhesive as the rigid adhesive, CTBN modified epoxy adhesive and mixed flexible and rigid adhesive. The single lap joint specimens were subjected to low (5 mm/min) and high rate loading (100 mm/min) and tested up to failure. Results showed that the flexible adhesive lap joints at the high rate loading exhibit more displacement compared to the same adhesive on the low rate loading. Results further showed use of the mixed adhesive in the lap joint improved the displacement and reduced the stiffness of the adhesive at high rate
