Abstract:
The synthesis and catalytic activities of a novel, efficient and recyclable polymer-supported palladium catalyst is reported. Poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride) is modified with 2-aminothiazole and applied as a polymer-support for immobilization of PdCl2. Appearance of Palladium particles are confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy dispersive spectroscopy analysis of X-rays (EDAX), inductively coupled plasma (ICP) analysis, and FT-IR techniques. The synthesized catalyst is applied to Suzuki coupling in water and examined being recycled and reused
