Siloxane based poly (polyurea-urethane) (PUS) are an important class of polymer materials for a variety of applications [1]. Composites of PUS with nanofillers such asamine-terminated Multiwall Carbone (MWCNTs-NH) and Nanodiamond (ND) have extensively studied due to their special properties. MWCNTs possess excellent electrical, mechanical, thermal and magnetic properties as well as low density, high surface area, and high chemical stability. Amine functionalizedMWNTs are uniformly dispersed in polymeric matrices due to establishment of efficient interactions at the interface betweenthe MWCNTs and the polymer matrix [2]. Addition of ND to structural polymers results in enhanced mechanical strength, wear-resistance, and heat-agingresistance [3]. This report investigates of the thermal stability and microstructure of siloxane based PUS nanocomposites containing ND or MWCNT nanofiller.
