خلاصه مقاله:
Hydrophilic polymers and especially organic/inorganic hybrid hydrogels have attracted the attention of scientific communities all around theworld. In this work, hybrid composite particles ofpolyacrylamide/montmorillonitehave been prepared via inverse Pickering emulsion polymerization.Nanocomposites were synthesized by theincorporation of Montmorillonite nanoparticleswith a plate like structure that had been modified.Thestructure and the morphology of the, hybridcomposite particles were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), dynamiclight scattering (DLS), thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).With ammonium persulfate as the initiator, the polymerization reactive mechanism wasinvest igated and the influences of the concentration of monomer content and emulsifier on polymerization rate were described. The effects ofsonication time, mode of sonication, temperature, nature and amount of MMT nanoparticles, solvent inthe dispersed phase, nature of dispersed and continuous phases, and type of initiator on the conversion, and size distribution of the latex particleswere investigated. The results showed that an increase in sonication time up to 4 min and using anhydrophilic modified clay nanoparticles improved both the monodispersity and the stability of the nanocomposite latex particles
