Abstract:

Many attempts have been done for wastewater treatment using membrane technology[1,2]. Porous ultrafiltration (UF) membranes generally having poresizes in the 0.001-0.1 μm range provide a promising solution for oil/water separation. However, flux decline is a major obstacle in the performance of theUF membranes when they are exposed to emulsified oil droplets. In this study, the UF membranes were prepared by phase inversion method, and the effect of dry and wet conditions on the separation performance of the membrane was investigated
