خلاصه مقاله:
There is no pure polymer which detects all the desired properties required for every packaging application. Recent years, complex multi-layered films and polymeric blends areoften utilized. Polymer Clay Nanocomposites (PCNCs) are hybrid nanostructured materials with improved mechanical, thermal and gas barrier properties [1, 2]. The use of PCNCs for material consume or food packaging not only suitable for protects the material consume or food quality and increases its shelf life but can also be considered a more environmentally friendly solution because it reduces the requirement to useplastics as packaging materials. However, current alternative biodegradable films exhibit poor barrier and mechanicalproperties and these properties need to be improved considerably before they could replace traditional plastics, and thus help to manage the world’s waste problem. The use of inorganic particles makes it possible to introduce multiple functionalities, which might help to improve poor barrier and mechanical properties [3, 4].
