Microcellular foams are a new class of materials which contain gas bubbles of diameters on the order of 10 μm and have attracted much attention due to their enhanced propertiescompared with other plastic foams [1]. Recently, we have produced microcellular foams via a novel technique based onin-situ generation of supercritical CO2 from dry ice [2]. In the present work, we prepared microcellular PMMA/clay nanocomposite foams in order to study influence of additionof clay into microcellular PMMA on cellular morphology of the foams.
