Abstract:

In recent years, Advanced Oxidation processes (AOP’s) is a powerful and nonselective technique to remove most of organic pollutants from colored waste waters. In AOP’s intermediate components and degradation products are formed and could be identified using liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry as an analytical technique. In this study, ZnO-Ag photocatalyst was synthesized using combustion method to decomposition of Reactive R-31 as a pollutant. The photocatalyst was characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), (transmission electron microscopy) TEM. The concentration of reactive R-31 was investigated by UV-Vis spectrophotometer as a suitable process for dye removal of wastewaters, and photodegradation products were predicted.
