Abstract:
In this study, a new cubic equation of state (EOS) was developed with reference to the RK EOS using a new partition function form. The new equation is applied to calculate properties of fluids and vapor-liquid equilibrium calculations. Using this Partition function form, a three parameter EOS was derived. Satisfactory calculated results of properties of pure fluids for 2700 data in the form of saturation and supercritical are obtained. The pressure range is between 0.2 to 1000 bars. Simplicity and generality of this equation combined with reasonable accuracy makes it a useable EOS for sour natural gas. The Fugacity Coefficient and Solubility curves resulted from the EOS, showed a very good agreement with experimental data.
