Abstract:
In this paper, the Site effects are studied using three-dimensional boundary element method and comprehensive study on three-dimensional valley and its changes in length, which is the advantage of the present investigation compared to previous studies, and is defined as widening ratio. In addition to studying widening ratio (WR) parameter, the effect of parameters such as input wave: including wave frequency, type, and incidence direction of the wave as well as a comparison between dynamic behavior of semi-prismatic, prismatic, and non-prismatic valleys was done and different patterns of magnification for three-dimensional valleys due to SH-and SV-Wave incidences were offered. The results indicate that the widening ratio along the valley has significant effect on the obtained responses from three-dimensional model. Furthermore, it is seen that the effect of changing the length of the valley on the results is a dependent of the frequency.
