The Study of Foraminifers of the Holocene Sediments in Southern Beaches of the Kish Island

Kish Island is one of the south islands of Iran. Its 'geometrical shape is oval and is a part of folded Zagros zone. The coastal sandy consolidated, coastal sandy consolidated, clay-sandy, red clay and sand clearing clay are the must important sedimentary part of the island with hot and humid climate. The northwest, west and south coasts are rock island and they are undulating due to blowing of marine winds. This research, investigated Microphonestic and Sedimentology studies of Southern Coasts of Kish Island in six stations. In the studies related to the foraminifera existing in the island,8 species and 11 types were identified. The foraminifera existing in depth were identified for 6 species and 5 types. The most frequency is related to the foraminifera with hyaline lime skin. The most important identified association includes Ammonia Beccarii Linne Association. The species along with this association include Amphistegina lobifera, Elphidium craticulatum, Quinqueloculina lamarkiana, Triloculina trigonata, and Peneropelis pertusus According to the carried out researches, we can say that microfauna community of Kish Island in fine grain beds (silty-muddy) are more than macrofauna community of rich coarse grain sediments.
