Abstract:

Teachers’ spiritual intelligence and perfectionism are regarded as two variables which are influential in teaching in almost any educational context. Therefore, the present study aims at investigating the possible relationship between spiritual intelligence and perfectionism among EFL teachers. To this aim, 80 EFL teachers (40 males and 40females) who were teaching English at different institutes in Mashhad, a city in Iran participated in the study. Theparticipants were required to fill out two questionaires of King s Spiritual intelligence Self-Report Inventory and Hewitt and Flett s Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale. The result of the study indicated that there is a positive significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and perfectionism in EFL teachers. Furthermore, the resultswere discussed and and possible implications were made with regard to EFL context
