An Analysis of Two Internationally Developed English Series Conversations

The present study attempts to find out whether there are significant differences between American English Files series and Four Corners series conversations based on Fairclough s(1989) three-dimensional model of CDA. These dimensions include the contents of the context, subject positions, and social relations. To this end, in view of Fairclough (1989), theconversations of both English book series were dissected. Then, the NOVA test was applied to analyze the descriptive statistics. The findings uncovered that these two English book series have no critical difference as far as these three dimensions are concerned. However, there were slight differences in terms of categories
