Abstract:

This study examined Impact of Iranian EFL learners frequency of Formulaic Language on their Oral Proficiency. Sixty learners in the University of Isfahan Language Center, who had already been classified as advancedaccording to the Oxford Placement Test, were assigned to take part in this study. EFL learners frequency of FormulaicLanguage is one of the most essential aspects determining success in learning the English language. On the contrary, attitudes towards a specific language could be either favorable or unfavorable. In this case, some students may have unfavorable attitudes towards the foreign language and aspire to be proficient in it in order to be more important thanothers in the community, but usually favorable attitude reinforces their motivation and EFL learners knowledge ofFormulaic Language. This study has shown that frequency and EFL learners knowledge of Formulaic Language ispositively linked to success in learning the English language in their oral proficiency. Generally, frequency of EFLlearners knowledge of Formulaic Language in their oral proficiency and attitude work together to ensure learners‟ successful acquisition of a second language; hence, various motivational theories and models have been formulated to examine and explain this connection. However, there is a gap between theory and practice
