The photocatalytic degradation of phenol in aqueous phase in a new spinning disc reactor withtwo different designs employing baffles in its structure was investigated and compared with conventionalones. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyses showed that nano-sizescale TiO2 were successfully deposited on stainless steel disc and Teflon baffles. The obtained results of photocatalytic experiments of water synthetically polluted with phenol showed a better performance ofreactor in baffled designs compared with conventional type of this reactor under a selected experimental condition (60 and 90min faster than smooth disc for complete degradation of phenol).
