The Impact of Economic Development on Status of Women as a Human Resource: The Persian Gulf Regions as a case of study

Since the twentieth century, different factors have contributed to process of economic growth and development. Human recourses is one of the most important and vital factors of it. Also, international economics literatures emphasize the role of human capital in the process of economic growth. Global comparisons show that women as a human resource have substantial positions on economic development. Investment in women’s human capital is expected to have important implications for the economic growth and for maximizing its benefits.This paper aims to determine the impact of economic growth and development in the Persian Gulf regions on status of women as a human capital and contrariwise. Whereas, the Persian Gulf is wealthy and developing region in the world with the speedy economic growth, due to having significant revenues from petroleum and gas reserves. Also, these regions are striving to find a place in global map of development and modernity
