Abstract:

Due to changing of the motor parameters, data used for designing controller do not match the measured data in reality. Hence the controller could not guarantee the perfect stability and performance all the time in order to get a highesteffectiveness. In most of the work that has been done in this area, the excitation current is assumed to be constant. But it isclear that any changes in input voltage of the shunt motors causes a change in the excitation current. As a result, in theshunt direct current (dc) motors which the input voltage is change, the excitation current cannot be assumed to be constant.In the shunt dc motors If the excitation current is not constant, the motor state space equations will be non-linear. In thiswork, the excitation current is not assumed to be constant and the effect of changes excitation field has been considered. Robust stability and performance of shunt dc motor using H-infinity and mu-syntheses is investigated. The simulationresults indicate that the use of these controllers will guarantee robust stability and performance of dc motor by changing the parameters. The simulation was performed using MATLAB software
