Abstract:
In this paper, a novel adaptive dynamic surface control approach based on the interval type-2 fuzzy systems is proposed for uncertain permanent-magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs). Interval type-2 fuzzy system is invoked to represent the model of the unknown and nonlinear dynamics of the PMSM drive system. Then, a systematic design procedure is developed to design the proposed dynamic surface control (DSC) scheme. The proposed scheme approximates the uncertain dynamics of the considered system without requiring any prior knowledge about it. Also, it eliminates the explosion of complexity problem and develops the control scheme without the need for availability and boundedness of all derivative of the desired trajectory. Stability analysis of the proposed scheme is provided and simulations are presented to verify the performance and effectiveness of the proposed scheme
