The role of maladaptive schema in anticipation of depression and anxiety in patients type-2 diabetes

Background and purpose: This study aimed to determine the role of maladaptive schema in anticipation of depression and anxiety in patients type-2 diabetes. Materials and methods: In a descriptive – correlation study, Among patients with type 2 diabetes who were referred to health centers in the city of Karaj in Ordibehesht 1394 in this case centers have had at least 6 months100 subjects met the inclusion criteria were selected by convenience sampling method and they were asked to complete the demographic characteristics questionnaire, Yang schema questionnaire (1998), Beck Depression (1987) and Beck anxiety (1990). Data analysis was performed by use of Pearson correlation and multiple regression. Results: The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant positive correlation between maladaptive schema with depression and anxiety in patients with type-2 diabetes (p<0/01), (p<0/05).
