Abstract:
Application of the surface wave method, as a nondestructive method to determine the underground characteristics are recently increased for Geophysical and Geotechnical Engineering purposes. In this paper, for a three-layer soil located on half space, the experimental dispersion curve was compared by one, determined from numerical modeling with ABAQUS software via finite element method. The results show a close relationship in wide range of frequency between experimental dispersion curves which were obtained by experimental and numerical modeling data.
