خلاصه مقاله:
La doped TiO, was synthesized using TiCl, and La(NO3)3.6H2O as starting materials. The material was characterized by means of XRD, XRF, SEM, EDX, UV-Vis, BET-BJH analyses then tested as a photocatalyst in comparison with commercial Degussa TiO2. Results of characterization analyses showed that synthesized material was La Doped TiO, and it composed of anatase and a little rutile phases of TiO,. The band gap of the mater estimated to be 2.5 eV also its specific surface area and average pore diameter calculated to be and 59.3 m/g and 4.61 nm, respectively. Mesoporous La Doped TiO, showed much higher photocatalytic performance in eliminating of Direct red-27 dye as a model of pollutants under visible light compared to commercial TiO, (Degussa P25). However Degussa TiO, exhibited better efficiency towards the dye under ultra violet light.
