This paper focuses on reliability assessment of gas turbine power plant automation system. Based on
the investigation of reliability evaluation methodology and power system operations, a reliability
block diagram based simulation model is proposed. Two separate automation system considered for
power plant. One specific SPPA T2000 control system which is dedicated to power plant and one
general process control system which is normally used in chemical production automation system
named as PCS7. The main objective is a comparison between both systems from reliability side.
