Abstract:

In recent years, synthesis of different metal nanoparticles has attracted considerable attention due to their wide range of applications. In this work, Ni ultrafinefnanoparticles were directly produced using the one-step, relatively large-scale method of electromagnetic levitational gas condensation method. In this process, Ni vapors ascending from the levitated droplet were condensed by AT and He-20%Argas mixtures under atmospheric pressure. Effects of type and flow rate of the condensing gas on the size, size distribution and crystallinity of Ni particles were investigated. The particles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and image analysis. The process parameters for synthesis of the crystalline Ni ultrafinefnanoparticles were determined.
