Abstract:

The aim of this project is the preparation of biodegradable amphiphilic polymeric nanoparticles which their size change with temperature variation. Polycaprolactone (PCL) is a biodegradable and biocompatible linear polyester with good mechanical and thermoplastic properties. One of the most widely investigated stimuli sensitive polymers is poly(N-isopropylacrylamide). Owing to the amphiphilic characters of the monomeric unit, the PNiPAAm shows unique reversible thermosensitivity with the hydrated extended coil to globule transition by increasing temperature over its lower critical solution temperature (LCST) ...Because of this reversible phase transitionP(NIPAAm) has been widely used in the preparation of stimuliresponsive systems for biomedical applications, such as in the controlled release of drugs and tissue engineering. In this work we report the synthesis of thermo-responsive poly(E-caprolactone)-graft-N isopropylacryamid by atom transfer radical polymerization with poly(E-caprolactone-co-o-bromo-E- caprolactone) copolymer asmacroinitiator. The nanoparticles and thermosensitive behaviors were investigated using H-NMR, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and UV-Vis Spectroscopy .Also the chemical structure of the polymer was verified bytransmition electron microscope (TEM).
