Abstract:

The synthesis of nanocrystalline W-type hexaferrite BaCo MnTiFe O27 powder bycitrate sol-gel method has been investigated.X-ray diffraction CXRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), vibrating sample magnetometer and vector network analyzer were used to analyze the structural, magnetic and microwave absorption properties. The ferrite-polymer composites with different ferrite ratios of 50%, 60%, 70% and 80% in polyvinylchloride matrix were prepared. The microwave absorption properties of these composites were investigated in 12-20GHz frequency range. The results showed that the composite with 60% ferrite content has shown a maximum reflection loss of -28 dB at 19. 4GHz with the -15 dB bandwidth over the extended frequency range of 16.8- 194GHz for an absorber thickness of 1.8mm. It was concluded that the prepared composites could be good candidates for electromagnetic compatibility and other practical applications at high frequency.
