PHYSICAL AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF SEBS/POLYPROPYLENENAN0C0MIPOSITE REINFORCED) BY NAN0CLAY

In present study, first styrene-b-(ethylene-co-butylenes)-b-styrene triblock copolymer (SEBS) and polypropylene (PP) were prepared using twin screw melt mixing method follow by adding different content of nano clay,Chemical structure, polymer morphology and thermal behavior of PP/SEBS/nano clay were characterized by X-ray diffraction ), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and thermogravimetric analysis (TG/DTA) methods. In addition, we prepared the experimental specimens to study the final mechanical properties. The results obtained show the acceptable nano clay dispersion quality; in addition to enhancement of the final mechanical properties followed by nano clay content.
