Abstract:

Introduction : For more than a decade, farming has been counted as one of the dangerous oc� : cupations. A number of adverse health conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders are related toagricultural work that is created by manual transport. The women play a significant role in agricultural development in all of fields. This paper presents the results of a literature review undertaken to determinethe types and extent of manual transport among farm women in the world and to identify opportunities .for ergonomic intervention Method: Articles were collected from Scopus, Webofscience, Magiran, SID, IranMedeX, Googlescholar and PubMed database from 2005 until 2017 that was related to musculoskeletal disorders of manual transport. 17 articles were used in this paper that was showed musculoskeletal disorders, risk .factors and ergonomics interventions of lifting and carrying in agriculture›s farmer Finding: the most of studies were related to India. Majority of studies were done in 2009. The musculoskeletaldisorders were including of the back and neck, tenosynovitis, tendonitis, upper extremities such as shoulders and cumulative musculoskeletal disorders and were consequences of the occupationalrisk factors of lifting and carrying in agriculture. At the same time, ergonomics interventions were finding to reduce it among farm women such as designing of women friendly tools and equipment,.improved work processes and stipulation of shorter rest periods for farm women Result: The information presented in this paper should result in (1) Prioritization of researches based on prevention of farm women from musculoskeletal disorders, (2) Development of new technologies for women for critical field problems such as stooped posture, and lifting and carrying of heavy materials, .(3) Funding and support for awareness and prevention programs for musculoskeletal disorders
