Efficacy evaluation of Beauveria bassiana fungus and Cannabis sativa extract for the control of Amitermes vilis termite

Termites are one of the most important pests of wood and cellulose materials in various environments. As a result of problems arising from pesticides use, it is quite necessary to use biological control agents such as pathogenic fungi, insects and plant derivatives. This study was done by contact-poisoned bait and spraying tests with concentrations of 1.148 ×10 4 to 1.148×10 9 spores per ml and 10 to 10000 ppm of cannabis extract. Results showed the lowest LC50 and LT50 were related to spraying test which were 5.372×10 8 spores per ml and 3.267 days respectively. Cannabis extract LC50 was 10.236 ppm and the relative time of death in the highest concentration was 2.534 days. Cannabis extract and fungi combined test results showed that the extract of cannabis increases the pathogenicity of Beauveria bassiana fungus. According to the results, the fungus Beauveria bassiana and cannabis extract could be used as a control agent
