This study has been conducted to assess the effect of educational activities (incentive) on studying and book reading of children and adolescents in Tehran Iran.Cross-sectional and descriptive-analytic methods have been applied in this study. Questionnaire has been used as a tool and its validity has been confirmed after the approval of its reliability. Sample size has been randomly selected to 148 teachers from 25 schools in Tehran. SPSS software has been applied to analyze data of this study.The obtained results of this study have reflected the opinions of teachers of education and training. Accordingly, 73/7% of teachers believe that literary activities have had the most effect on creation of studying and reading incentive among children and adolescents. Islamic activities have second rank with 64/9% and scientific activities have third rank with 57/8% in terms of their effect on creating incentive of studying and book reading among children and adolescents. According to the obtained results, it could be found that there is a significant relationship between literary and scientific activities and their effect on studying and book reading. Hence, the relevant hypothesis has been accepted while the other hypotheses have been rejected. All age groups of study have been prioritized based on their level of interest in studying and book reading from the perspective of schoolteachers. The obtained results are as follows: age group of 8 years (10/1%), age group of 10-year-old (13/5%), age group of 12-year-old (11/5%) and age group of 14-year-old (9/5%). Hence, the mentioned age groups have indicated the most incentive to read books.
