Abstract:
Understanding structure behavior during earthquake have always been a significant challenge for earthquake and structural engineers. Increase awareness about this behavior can promote regulations and make designs more secure. One of the most important steps in this issue is understanding effects of soil structure interaction during earthquake. Up to now, many efforts in this field have been conducted and various methods have been suggested to estimate these effects however there are many vague points. In this study, Artificial Neural Network and Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference system were used to predict the results of soil structure interaction problem based on recorded data from real events. Finally performances of these methods to model soil structure interaction were compared and results of each method were reported.
