Abstract:
Design of residential environment, is not just and physical responsibility, but it is a social process. From past to the present, has been begin to space design and mass bases creating in some residential environment, to responding to this process by determining needed opportunities. The study’s goal is investigating effects of appropriate and optimal open space design due to collective life creating in line with social interaction and more communication with nature among residents, therefore in this study has been investigated relationship between design of residential open space and use rate of residents in two different decades. Statistical population is including residential complexes in Shiraz, which have been built in 80s and 50s. This study has been implemented as field and by using survey method. The measurements tool is questionnaire. The sample size has been estimated 434, according to Cochran. Analyzing data was done by Statistical software SPSS and in tow level of descriptive and inferential statics. Results show that design of open space is different from past to the present, in biological bases, due to effective factors in common collective areas and open space design quality and also effective factors in collective life creating and residents socialization.
