Abstract:
This contribution discusses a site selection process for establishing a urban park. It was supported by a value-focused approach and spatial multi-criteria evaluation techniques. A first set of spatial criteria was used to design a number of potential sites. Next, a new set of spatialand non-spatial criteria was employed, together with the degree of suitability for the park to evaluate the potential sites and to recommend the most acceptable one. Choose a location forparks and urban green space is a complex process which inevitably use different tools to make decisions, such as geographic information systems (GIS) and multi-criteria decision-makingmethods such as using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is . In this study, to determine suitable locations for construction of the park in Tehran of criteria including access, distancefrom factories and industries, distance from existing parks, distance from health centers, distance learning centers, distance from gas stations, faults and proximity the river was used. The final maps as Or, And, gamma and Product was prepared
