In this letter, a microstrip low pass filter with wide stopband using T-shaped resonators is designed. The proposed low pass filter using ADS software is simulated. The filter consists of 7 pairs of symmetrical T-shaped resonators.The 3-dB cutoff frequency is 5.562 GHz, applicable for C-band spectrum. The transition-band is sharp (30 dB/GHz).The stopband bandwidth with 27dBsuppression level is extended from 6.362 GHz to 40 GHz (8 unwanted harmonics are rejected). The physicals size of the designed LPF is 12×6.2mm2.
