خلاصه مقاله:
Anxiety in the career of nursing, given the important role of nurses in caring and protecting patients, can have significant impacts on their lives. The current study aims at investigating the role cognitive failure and emotional processing in predicting anxious thoughts of nurses. This descriptive study is of correlation kind. The statistical population was all nurses in Ardebil hospitals. Research sample consisted of 130 nurses who were selected randomly. They were all asked to fill out the mindfulness, cognitive failure, emotional processing and anxious thoughts questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression method in SPSS/16 software.A meaningful relationship was observed between cognitive failure (r=0.34), emotional processing (r=0.23) and anxious thoughts (P<0.05). In a predictive model, merely cognitive failure and emotional processing could explicate about 42percent of anxious thoughts variance. Therefore, cognitive failure and emotional processing had meaningful relationships with anxious thoughts respectively.
