Closed-Form Solution Based on Spatial Membership Functions for Lightning-Induced Voltage across Arrester of single-Conductor Overhead Lines Subjected to Direct Lightning Strokes

In this paper, a closed-form solution for lightning induced-voltage of transmission lines with arrester termination is proposed. Through the proposed approach, the induced voltage in despite of existing methods is efficiently computed. This approach is based upon spatial membership functions concept in which at first the problem under consideration is divided to two single-input nonlinear systems and then knowledge base of two systems are combined via spatial membership functions
