Asynchronous stabilization of nonlinear switched systems with unstabilizable subsystems

This paper investigates the stability problem of nonlinear slowly switched systems with stable and unstabilizable subsystems in asynchronous mode. The so-called asynchronous switching is used to describe the switching of a controller which has a lag to the switching of system modes. By allowing the Lyapunov-like function to increase during the asynchronous period and the running time of unstable subsystems, the stability problem with ADT in nonlinear setting is solved. The stability results are based on minimum activation period of stable subsystem and the average time between two consecutive switching instants for stable and unstable mode. Finally numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of obtained theoretical results
