Abstract:

The switched reluctance motor, is of the family of reluctance motors. The stator and rotor poles in these motors, are like an outstanding pole. The armature winders are placed on stator poles as set and the rotor poles don’t have armature winding and as a result, the process of building this motor, is easy and its manufacturing cost is also low. Lack of having armature winding and magnet, has made the rotor very firm and gives possibility for performance in high velocities and also, the tolerability of suffering in high heat. Also, the reluctance switch motor produces more moment in comparison to other motors with an obvious currency. As far as the switched reluctance motors have a good profit in high velocities, are known proper for high velocity functions. The produced heat by casualty, causes the reduction of life and motor efficiency, thus, the optimum design based on thermal modeling, helps for the recovery of performance and increase of motor life. This paper, aims to discuss about casualty in reluctance motors and that what effects they will have on motors. According to the considerations, we conclude that the casualties will be one of important factors in making heat in motors. Controlling heat in motors is very important for us, because, high heat, will cause destroying of the armature winder insulators and also, the used non-conductors in electrical motors. Much factors are effective in controlling and decreasing heat in motors that are probed in this paper and some of these factors are including: exact designing the dimensions and length of motor, designing blades on motor, designing cooler fans at the end of motor and …also, the transient and permanent thermal modeling is done and analyzed for a model of reluctance motor in this paper, using MOTOR CAD software.
