Abstract:

In present investigation, an attempt has been made for combining of artificialneural network and genetic algorithm (ANN/GA) to predict and optimize polyanilineelectrospun nanofibers diameter. The developed ANN was a feed forward backpropagation network (3-7-1) with three inputs including applied voltage, spinningdistance and polymer solution concentration, seven neurons and one output. Geneticalgorithm was combined with ANN to optimizing the weighted connections and discovernovel architecture. High regression coefficient (R2 =0.9990) between predicted nanofibersdiameter and experimental one and small value of mean square error (MSE) have provedthe efficacy of the proposed model in the prediction process.
